Queensland Women’s and Girls’ Chess Championships

The Chess Association of Queensland will be running the Queensland Women’s and Girls Chess Championships at Somerville House on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of April. This year, the Under 8 and Under 10 divisions will be one-day events, which will open the tournament up to a greater range of students. For players aged 10 and up (as of 1st January 2025), the main event is a great opportunity to play at a longer time control and record their moves so that they can go through the game with their coaches at chess club. Players of all levels are welcome to attend.
